The high-humidity environment during the plum rain season is prone to causing air compressor failures and affecting production efficiency. Below are the key management measures to help the equipment operate smoothly:

1. Strictly Control Workshop Humidity

  1. Use dehumidifiers or air conditioners to maintain the relative humidity at 40%-60% , preventing moisture intrusion from causing rust on components;

  2. Ensure good ventilation in the workshop to avoid moisture accumulation.

2. Strengthen Filter Maintenance

  1. Air Filters: Inspect once every 3-5 days, and replace immediately if damp or dirty to prevent insufficient air intake and increased energy consumption;

  2. Oil Filters / Oil-Air Separators: Shorten the replacement cycle to prevent moisture from causing filter blockage and lubricating oil emulsification.

3. Enhance Lubrication Management

  1. Check the oil level before starting up and after shutting down the machine daily. If the oil level rises abnormally (which may indicate condensed water accumulation), shut down the machine for more than 4 hours, then open the oil drain ball valve to drain water. Close the valve immediately when lubricating oil starts to flow out;

  2. Regularly check the condition of the lubricating oil. If emulsification, darkening, or thickening occurs, replace it immediately. Prioritize the use of high-quality lubricating oil with good oxidation resistance and anti-emulsification performance.

4. Strictly Manage Water Drainage

  1. Manually drain condensed water from air receivers, refrigerated dryers, and filters multiple times a day. Check if the drain valves are unobstructed and leak-free;

  2. Regularly maintain automatic drainers, clean up impurities to ensure normal automatic drainage function. Repair or replace them promptly if they fail.

5. Well Protect the Electrical System

  1. Regularly inspect electrical components such as controllers and terminal blocks to ensure no condensation. Wipe and dry the components if condensation is found; if necessary, install moisture-proof heaters or desiccants in the electrical control cabinet, and add waterproof covers for outdoor electrical components;

  2. Inspect wires, cables, and joints to prevent moisture-induced mildew and insulation layer damage, thus avoiding short circuits and electric leakage.

6. Increase the Frequency of Professional Maintenance

Invite professional technicians to conduct a comprehensive maintenance at least once a month, including performance testing, inspection of component wear, and parameter calibration. Keep detailed records for tracking the equipment operating status.

By implementing the above management measures, the impact of moisture on air compressors can be effectively reduced, ensuring stable and efficient operation of the equipment and providing reliable compressed air support for production.
